- 2 1/4 lb fresh beef brisket (not corned beef)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons Progresso beef flavored broth (from 32-oz carton)
- 5 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- Chopped Italian (flat-leaf) parsley, if desired
